Lloyd’s Shipping Economist, a publication dedicated to the Shipping sector, awards the Compania Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV) financing arranged by BNP Paribas “Most Innovative Shipping Finance Deal 2007”.

This USD 450 million multi-option facility is structured as an innovative asset-based global investment credit facility. It has a revolving term depending on a matrix based on characteristics (size, age) of the vessels. It is built as a “hunting” line allowing CSAV to seize investment opportunities on the newbuilding and second-hand market, securing the financing of future vessel purchases and providing flexibility for global strategic acquisitions. BNP Paribas acted as sole Mandated Arranger and Bookrunner in this transaction.

CSAV is a Chilean global Container Operator and the first Latin American container shipping company in the world's top 15 shipping liners.
